Here at Barnplants we pride ourselves on the quality of our bedding and patio and container plants. Again we are the small nursery with the big reputation for home grown plants. With extensive propagating licensing to grow all our patio plants from unrooted cuttings , we source our patio plants from the best plant breeders from around the world.

Karl is our resident propagation manager and responsible for some 250.000 plants from the cutting stage right through to ‘shop ready’ established plants.

Barnplants Babies

 Barnplants baby plug plants kick off in mid February and are available up to April.  Plug plants are available in a wide range from fuchsias, geraniums, all seedlings, busy lizzies, begonias..you name it..we’ve got it!

Surfinia Trailing Petunias: Without doubt still the best trailing plant there is. The range is extensive. Lookout for trailing blue star.  highly  perfumed flower with semi double flowers.

From mid April on throughout late spring to late summer, patio plants are available in abundance here at Barnplants.  Diascias, Lobelias, Nemesias,  Bacopas ,Verbenas and Fuchsias  are all here to see .   Watch out for Nemesia “Berries and Cream”  a huge favourite here .A compact plant covered with blue and white flowers and a long flowering period . This plant is as happy in a border as it is in a container or basket.Also for Fuchsia Lady Boothby a climbing fuchsia that will reach 2mtrs in the first season ....wow!

Check us out for Foliage plants..so useful for that sophisticated touch in urns or containers . Now we have the green and dark leaf ipomoeas .These  foliage plants have  a good bushy  habit and provide a striking backdrop to any planter .
